植物介紹:
蒜葉婆羅門參為菊科婆羅門參屬的一年至二年生草本,原生南歐和北非,株高約1.2公尺,頭狀花序為紫色小花所構成約5公分,主根可達30公分長、5公分粗,除了果序可作為乾燥花材外,發達的主根也是種食材,據說有生蠔味。但如需食用根部就必須於開花前採收,否則根部會過老和沉積澱粉而過於黏稠進而難以食用。在溫帶地區通常於4~9月左右為花季。
栽培簡介:
播種季節為秋冬,輕覆蓋介質播種即可,因婆羅門參屬均不喜移植故建議直播。隔年春季至初夏開花,如需採收根部食用應於發芽後2~3個月於抽苔前挖取採收。
